The Beauty of the Breakfast Sandwich


Not homemade but still delicious!

I am often short on time in the mornings. The early hours are when I work on my graduate program assignments, clean the kitchen, and get ready for work. But I am also a breakfast person in every sense of the word: I love to eat breakfast, make breakfast, and dream about my next breakfast.


The breakfast sandwich is the end-all-beat-all breakfast for me. It can be made in literally millions of different combinations, topped by a croissant or wrapped in a tortilla, be healthy or downright sinful.


...and I have a confession: I even like frozen breakfast sandwiches like the Jimmy Dean one pictured here. That’s right. I said it. Now you know.


The trick with frozen sandwiches is to get the oven temperature and timing just right so the bread is still fluffy and the proteins are warmed all the way through. These ready-made sandwiches have been lifesavers on days when the morning simply gets away from me.


Should you eat this every day? No. But should you have them in your back pocket of tricks for when weekdays get hectic? Absolutely!
