Smaller Foot Prints

These wipes are compostable!

It’s not always simple to recycle and do what we can for the environment even if we live in a community with good recycling programs. So, I was delighted when I found these compostable facial wipes at Target. It’s just a really simple step but one of many that we can do to make a difference. Small steps become big steps very easily.

Compostable means that a product can disintegrate into natural elements in a compost environment, leaving nothing toxic in the soil.

It’s not always easy to find products that are either compostable or biodegradable but I am finding more and more of these in my local stores.

What can you do to help with environmental concerns? Here are a few ideas:

  • Buy products with less packaging.

  • Carry your own reusable cloth bags, or make sure to recycle your plastic bags.

  • Look for products that are compostable or biodegradable.

  • If your community doesn’t offer recycling at the curb, see if you have the option to collect your recyclables and take them to a recycling center.

  • Carry your own refillable water bottle or coffee cup.

  • Know what can and cannot be recycled.

  • Electronics, batteries, light bulbs, paint, and many other products are not recyclable at the curb but you can collect them and take them to your dump for safe disposal.

  • Many cities have amnesty days when you can take all kinds of products to the dump for safe disposal.

It is the job of every one of us to keep our world clean for today and for the next generations! Let’s all work together and do our part :-)
