My husband has extremely sensitive skin, so we are always on the hunt for detergents and soaps that don’t irritate him. This can be tougher than you might think!
This winter, we were given Grateful House laundry balls. These are chemical-free laundry balls that clean your clothing without any harsh additives, chemicals, or side-effects. These detergent-alternatives have become very popular and I can see why: they’re affordable, reusable, better for the environment, and really work well.
For our normal clothing, the laundry balls have worked great! The clothes come out clean and fresh. I will say, some of our more heavily soiled clothing needed another wash, with all the stains not quite lifting the first time. (Brent works at a coffee shop, so his clothes are often stained with syrups and coffees that can be tough to clean.) With those loads, I would suggest adding just a splash of detergent to help the process along.
