My Favorite Smoothie

I’ve never been much of a breakfast eater even though I know the value of “the most important meal of the day” so I try to keep these smoothies in my refrigerator to grab on my way out the door in the mornings.

  • 1 cup of blueberries

  • 2 tablespoons of flax seeds

  • 1 banana

  • 1 heaping teaspoon of cocoa powder

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 teaspoon of honey (optional)

  • 4 heaping tablespoons of oats

  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (or other nut butter, as desired)

  1. Put everything into a blender or smoothie maker (I use my Ninja Bullet) and swirl until smooth.

  2. Pour into 2 cups with lids and refrigerate until ready to drink.

  3. In the morning I grab one, fill it with ice, and have an easy and delicious breakfast!

Everything in this smoothie is very good for you and provides lots of vitamins, daily fruit servings, and a good energy boost to start your day. Have a good morning!!
