It is a million degrees here, basically year-round, so iced coffee is a staple. Iced coffee is suuuuuper simple to make, and the payoff is huge. There is nothing better than opening the fridge on a hot day and seeing a pitcher of delicious cold coffee ready to be poured into your to-go mug.
Here’s what you do*:
-Fill your coffee maker with the normal amount of coffee grounds
-Use half the amount of water you normally would
-Brew coffee
-Let coffee cool; pour into a pitcher and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days
-Enjoy over ice any time!
*There are much more sophisticated techniques to make cold brew, but y’all...let’s keep it simple!
I drink my coffee black (always have) but I do enjoy a touch of sweetness in my cold coffee drinks. I like brewing the Dunkin’ Donuts brand cinnamon roll coffee for iced coffee- it’s just the right amount of sweetness without being heavy.
