Gift Wrapping Tips

Christmas is such a magical time of the year, from the cookies and the tree to the lights and the presents.  Presents...now this is where it gets divisive! Some people love wrapping while others loath it. Love it or hate it, you'll probably find yourself wrapping something at some point this holiday season.

We've compiled a few tips to make it a little easier...

Wrapping those  presents can be so much fun when you add a special touch to each gift like tying small trinkets around a package. Pencils, small hair clips, candy, or kitchen gadgets wrapped up in a bow on the outside of the package extend the joy of gift giving!

Keeping your Christmas wrap in a big box with everything you need makes wrapping extra special and easy. Here's what you need: paper (check sales after the holiday and stock up), ribbons & bows, scissors, tape, cards. Keeping it all in one place saves time and makes it all more fun! Here's a link to tons of options. We like the upright plastic containers (less chance of paper getting smashed).

This is a great tutotial on how to wrap almost any package in less than 1-minute. Sarah says: I recommend not putting tape on the actual present because you run the risk of accidentally ripping it in the opening process. Instead, pull one side over a little farther and add tape there.

Be creative with your wrapping! You don't have to stick with plain old wrapping paper. Use newspaper, reuasble shopping bags, or even cloth to wrap your presents. Bandanas, tea towels and scarves are particularly cute ideas!

Happy wrapping!
