When Joanna Gaines announced her Supper Club contest, we knew we had to enter! The challenege: Cook and share a few recipes from the new Magnolia Table 3 cookbook.
Our first recipe was the jalapeno popper dip and it was a HUGE crowd pleaser! Filled with cream cheese, peppers and bacon, you really can't go wrong.
For the main course, we went tostadas. These delicious open-face mains are perfect for a crowd because everyone can personalize the toppings to their own tastes.
We added homemade salsa roja and chips to the buffet style set-up.
You know a meal is good when everyone suddenly gets quiet to eat!
For dessert, we chose the s'mores tray bake recipe, complete with homemade marshmallows ...and it was phenomenal. The homemade marshmallows come together easily and make a huge difference in the taste!
Be prepared to hand out seconds of this crowd-pleasing dessert! (All the taste of a campfire treat without the campfire...perfect for these hot summer days we're having!)
While we hope we win, the real prize was gathering everyone together to share a meal of new recipes. The quality time and post-dinner board games reminded us how fun it is to be in each other's company...which is what it's all about.
