You will need:
1 head of garlic, cut in half widthwise
Olive oil, salt, pepper
1 stick butter
Place the halved garlic (skin and all) on a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Wrap foil tightly around the garlic to avoid oil leakage. Place in a 325-degree oven for 45 minutes. Carefully unwrap and remove garlic, spooning out the garlic cloves into the butter. Mash together. Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
