Candied Bacon

This quick and easy crowd pleaser is perfect twist for Thanksgiving breakfast (or any time of year!).

  • 1 pound of bacon

  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard (I like Grey Poupon)

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (I like Aunt Jemima)

  • 1 sheet tray fitted with a rack

  1. Mix the mustard and syrup in a small bowl.

  2. Lay the bacon in individual strips on the rack.

  3. Paint the bacon, on one side, with the mustard/syrup mixture.

  4. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven until the bacon is nice and crisp, about 15 minutes. Turn the bacon over and cook another 15 minutes or so.

  5. Every oven is different so check on the bacon occasionally but expect it to take about 30 minutes.

  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Be prepared to make this every time you invite people over because they will love it!!!!!
