Mom and I traveled to the Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights display in 2019 and guys: it is worth the hype! I have never seen so many lights in one place.
The whole park is absolutely covered in the most creative and lovely lights display I have ever seen. My favorite part was a snow and ice pass through that made the world look like it sparkled. Most of the displays are bespoke- specially made just for Callaway.
Here are a few tips and tricks I would recommend following if you go:
It gets dark at 6 pm, so catch an early trolley!
You can drive through yourself or take the trolley...take the trolley! Not only is it fun, but you have more opportunity to enjoy the lights
Arrive early and enjoy some of the other attractions like the birds of prey shows, butterfly areas, and zip line adventure course
Cason’s Tap Room serves amazing cocktails and apps...get the jalapeno and craft beer cheese dip and ask for extra kettle chips (trust me)
There are food vendors on-site where the trolley picks up- be sure to grab a hot chocolate before getting on board!
This was truly one of the most magical Christmas experiences of my life. No matter how old you are, I believe this exhibit will capture your sense of wonder like no other!
