Recently on vacation I read Chip and Joanna Gaines’s book, The Magnolia Story. To say that those two are an inspiration would be an understatement!
I loved how easy this book was to read- the chapters were succinct and told from both Chip and Joanna’s viewpoints which gave each section a fun flavor. The story was told basically in order from the time the Gaines’ met to today. It was very inspiring to read about a regular couple succeeding and thriving while they live their dreams.
Sometimes I get down on myself about productivity; I often feel like I should be doing more. To hear the exact same sentiment from Joanna was a breath of fresh air. I think the best lessons are the ones we all learn together: that we all wish we had more time; that family is the most important thing; that every day is a gift. I enjoyed hearing these ideas echoed throughout this charming book.
